Today I’ve got some very exciting news for you……..events are back with a BANG! So without further ado (drumroll please) here are the details for Cocktail Hour with Adeena Sussman and a class celebrating all things Summer.

And don’t forget to keep scrolling for some new lip smackingly delicious recipes, both co-incidentally packed with a heavy dose of nostalgia.

Cocktail Hour with Hanna & Adeena

Tuesday 8th July 6.30pm

Please join us on Tuesday 8th July from 6.30pm for Cocktail Hour, Hanna & Adeena style. This is going to be a super special evening to celebrate the illustrious Adeena Sussman’s London visit. We will show you how to make our favourite cocktails, snacks and how to pimp your dips while we talk about life, food and how we love to welcome people into our homes.

Our demonstration will start at 6.30pm and will last for approximately 2 hours. We will serve all the food we make after the demo, plus more and of course a cocktail. There will be plenty of time for mingling and Adeena will have a selection of her books available to buy and sign on the night. We will also share all the recipes we make on the night.

The event will take place at my home in Central London, closest tube is Maida Vale. Tickets are £45 and places are limited so don’t hesitate to book. All the location details will be sent along with your order confirmation.

We are so excited about this event and we cannot wait to welcome you into the living room for cocktails and more.

PB&J Blondies

I shared this recipe on the blog and YouTube last week and I cannot believe how many people have made them already!!!! Thank you to everyone who has sent in their pictures and notes about these blondies.  I am beyond thrilled that they are such a hit in your kitchens.

These PB&J Blondies are nostalgia packed squares of decadent goodness. Simple to throw together with pantry staples and so good you will wonder where these peanut butter and jelly (jam) swirled salty sweet fudgey treats have been all your life.

Created for the opening of South Pas Smash, the hot new smash burger (and soon to be fried chicken) destination in South Pasadena, these are maybe the best creation to come out of my kitchen in a long time.

With a short brief of kitsch with a twist and after many sample batches of jam flavours and blondie bases, we landed on this and I could not be more proud of these sweet salty squares packed with all the flavours of my youth.

Like all good recipes on these pages, I have a variation for you (so make sure you read to the end) to shake up the flavours, because I am willing to put money on the fact you will be making these OFTEN.  Don’t skip the almond date version with almond butter and date syrup (silan) – think of them as the grown ups at the kids party……..

Time to get baking.

Caramelised Onion Dip

And dose of nostalgia #2 of the week…….

Think of this as that caramelised onion dip from your childhood but without the package of Lipton soup mix and actual caramelised onions (not the freeze dried variety). These onions can literally be used to pimp up any shop bought dip but are so delicious on the crisp freshness of Greek yoghurt.  A simply delicious revamped bit of nostalgia perfect for any gathering.

Perfect to accompany a cocktail, part of a brunch spread or swirled together in a tupperware for a Summer picnic, this is your dip of the season.

Best served in my opinion on a crinkle crisp, crackers or helpful crudités like endive (with a perfect space to hold the dip) are all excellent vehicles to deliver this dip from from bowl to mouth.

Before I Go……

I am so looking forward to welcoming all of you who can make it to the next events and there are some more in the works for after the holidays.  If you have any questions about the upcoming dates, future events or private classes please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Happy long weekend for all of those who have an extra day in the sunshine. Thank you for being here on this culinary escapade together, it’s such a pleasure to be here with you. Until next time……
