New York Fun with Seed + Mill

Last month I spent a little time in my old haunt of New York City. It was such an incredible honour to teach a deliciously fun packed demonstration with Rachel Simons, co-founder and CEO Seed + Mil

Our class at the Chelsea Market Makers Studio in New York City showcased Sides as the New Mains with our favourite seasonal dishes (alongside dressings and toppings) so deliciously bold they make any meal come alive. Rachel and I shared our best hacks and entertaining tips alongside our favourite dishes of the season Of course Tahini will made a prominent appearance as we shared our recipes using the best of Spring’s produce from Amber Waves Farm, spices from Burlap and Barrel, Raaka Chocolate and presented on beautiful pieces from Casa Velasquez.

Rachel and I met 5 years ago when I tracked her down after tasting her iconic tahini soft serve ice cream in her Seed + Mill Chelsea Market Kiosk (the first store in the USA dedicated to sesame products).  We  forged an instant friendship, collaborate and support each other in the food world and we are now so excited to host our first event together.  

Seed + Mill outstanding tahini, halva and sesame products have earned a cult following, beloved by chefs and home cooks alike. Sold across the USA both out of their Chelsea Market flagship store and in grocery chains, speciality shops, on restaurant menus, online and are even seasonally available in Panzer’s Delicatessen in London.
